Commercial Compliance The Tamil Nadu Labour Welfare and Skill Development Department on September 24, 2026, issued the amendment to the Tamil Nadu Legal Metrology (Enforcement) Rules, 2011.

The notification amends Schedule IV under Rule 11(3) relating to registration fees under Legal Metrology. The corrected schedule prescribes annual registration fees of ₹40,000 for manufacturers, ₹15,000 for repairers, and ₹5,000 for dealers of weights or measures, with a fee of ₹1,000 for alteration of the registration certificate.
